Starting over yet again (WIPocalpse 2018)

2017 and into 2018 was/is a period of starting over yet again. So this blog becomes another in the line of re-starts in my personal life. My biggest goal is to stitch on a consistent basis on my many projects both not yet started and ones I have going.

Projects I'd like to get thru (top 3 and maybe 5) or touch this year:

1. at least 1 round of ornaments for my family and friends
2. Finish L*K ornaments
3. Finish L*K mystery Christmas from 2 years ago
4. Santas
5. Love with Capital L
6. Gift of Peace
7. Apache wedding

Think that is a nice start and if I get mojo and bug back, then more might even happen too!

Wish me luck!

New Starts

Well another year has started and last year I lost steam on a lot of levels.

I'm hopeful that this year things will majorily improve and change.

These are my ideal goals this year:

My stitchy goals needed to improve too as I spent too much time on FBook and not enough on other things.

 1. Get my mojo and rhythm back to stitch ( the past year started great and died quickly)
2. Finish L*K mystery SAL
3. Start, stay up with and finish the AAN mystery halloween SAL
4. Finish Mom's present from last year mom's day
 5. Work on several major BAPs to get them closer or done

 My non-stitchy goals

 1. learn to crochet and actually get 1 blanket done
2. have a steady paying job that I don't have issues with people etc.
3. get rooms cleaned out and organized
   a. closet(hall) & dining room table
   b. blue room (M's study room and my eventual craft room)
   c. my office
   d. storage areas (room and under middle level steps)
   e. bedroom closet f. get all others cleaned and maintained
 4. Make sure M is set for Senior year and beyond

March 2013 IHSW Review

This picture is the after picture from the weekend. I forgot the before weekend one but can explain where I left off. The small wording below the L was through the N. The L was fully in and the top left side of the O was done. Everything else was done over the weekend. It was a very productive weekend!

IHSW Weekend

We are in the midst of IHSW weekend and I got to spend quite a bit of time yesterday and plan a few hours today between my college work to stitch more. The picture that is in a previous post is pretty close to my start point. I had just added the start of my top left portion of the o in the top Love. The after weekend post will come tomorrow sometime. IHSW is located here

IHSW February 2013 Edition

This is the after stitching from the IHSW weekend. I had to frog out my entire top border and the full L because of a miscount on the right side border. Below is the previous picture prior to the frogging.

WIPocalpse posting January 2013

I have pretty much posted all of progress as I have gone along with stitching. I have put more into my Santa but won't post it again for a bit. I have a few plans for February but I am also starting up another class and have a potential bite for a job so we will see what happens.

IHSW- January 2013 post

I don't have a before picture as there was only like 10-15 stitches in it before the weekend; but the picture above is after the IHSW weekend stitch time that I could get between a major family issue that came up. This is the Blue Santa referred to in the Turtle trot SAL also.

Turtle Trot-January Post

I am going to try to stay up with this group as well as a few others... Here is the location for the group and I hope to post up in by the end of the weekend to get all my pictures up. I have a majorish personal family issue going on so I might not have them up til Monday.

Another Day Another Ornament

Because it is CSC stitchathon week, I decided to try to put a bunch of time and hopefully stitches for it. At least 4 hours, with some interruptions; later...here is ornament #4 from the L*K Christmas Blessings Ornaments.....

Ornament #3

This is the 3rd of the L*K Christmas Blessings ornaments. Hubby and I decided the dove wasn't standing out enough based on the pattern and the fabric and so I outlined it and this is what came out.

Happy New Year to all

2012 may not have been the best, but there is always hope that 2013 will be better for us all on a lot of levels! Here's wishing you a lot health, wealth, stitching time and happiness for the coming year!

2012 has not been a good year ....

For me, this has not been the best year in the world and I hope 2013 looks up on a lot of levels. Classes have been pretty good and with the class this spring I'll have 146 out of the 150 hours I need to take the CPA. I'm going to try to set that up quickly. I figure if I could do it right either October 2013 or April 2014 will be when I take that test. These classes have just kicked my stitching time down along with spending too much time on Facebook. I apologize to all of you who have been following me expecting to see a lot of pictures. Hopefully that will change quickly. I have several projects near close to finish ( at least 3/4 done) so that will be where I plan to start for 2013. Happy Holidays to all of you! ( for whichever holiday you do celebrate in the next few days to week)

WIPocalpse August #2

No pictures but I have picked up the needle a few times...most recent for a friend's project. I am in the middle of classes but I'm trying to pick up the needle again in the midst of job hunting and a few other things.

Sorry I haven't been around

Life after February or March got way out of whack and it has taken this long to get back in somewhat a state of balance. I haven't picked up a needle since about mid March. I plan to pick it up again here over the next couple of weeks and over the olympics. I'll probably do a few sprints since I have a couple that are close and then I plan to pull out a big piece I think and go back and frog it because I'm off just like 5 stitches but I can't fudge it to make it work. It is a huge piece that I plan to give away to my parents but I might stitch it again myself because I like it so much and I have a similar piece that matches out that I plan to do. Anyway no pics since I haven't touched it but will get ones in a bit once I add more.

April Check in

Well a month has gone by and I haven't had the chance to really pick-up a needle. I have been reading fan fics, classwork and dealing with getting a new job and other family life so the March check in is where I stand right now. I hope to try to pick up a needle again soon, but this class is requiring a lot of time reading, posting and projects.

Anyway...see you all soon!

March WIPoclypse check in

Sorry about these photos being sideways...they are saved right side up on my hard drive so I don't get why it is doing this.

I had maybe 2 hours after last check in from IHSW due to online class and family stuff on top of the usual work etc.

I hope to get a few finishes before the April check in.

IHSW weekend update

I'm about to head off to bed but decided to post my update pic first. I probably spent a total of 8 or 9 hours over the weekend in total on it

The previous leave off point is in my WIPocalypse check in post but linked here

IHSW weekend

I can't wait until tomorrow night...it is IHSW weekend and I don't have a lot going on other than school work. Check for my previous posts on the subject here and also the crab on my sidebar. I am looking forward to chill out and stitch with maybe a finish or 2...or maybe a start or more progress. I just don't know which way I'm going with it but it will be nice to relax!
